The meat pies, dirty rice, and gravy are so awesome. The crust of the meat pies are light and flaky with a wonderful seasoned meat inside and deep fried for a lovely golden brown.
Mr. Moss loves the lunch specials - today he ordered hamburger steak and onions - rice and gravy and pickled beets.
As if this was not enough, his lunch also included red beans and cornbread sticks.
The food here is awesome and is worth your visit. It's all about real and rustic Louisiana offerings.
Mr. Moss and I have made this place a regular and I appreciate the Louisiana cuisine they offer - traditional and tasty!

That truly does look like an amazing place to dine Tina! I'll have to keep it in mind for the next time I find myself in those parts....
I am a good ole southern girl and I love dirty rice and meat pies - and corn bread but haven't acquired a taste for beets. You can't find better "warm your heart" type of food anywhere as in the south!!
